Butterfly knives are legal.
A knife with a blade over 3.5 inches counts as a "deadly weapon" for concealed carry; a permit or an affirmative-defense purpose is needed.

The Law in Detail
Key statutes: Neb. Rev. Stat. §§28-1201, 28-1202
A first concealed carry violation is a Class 1 misdemeanor with up to one year confinement and a $1,000 fine. In State v. Nguyen (2016), the Nebraska Supreme Court held that any blade exceeding 3.5 inches is a deadly weapon per se, with no need to prove intended use. Nebraska has no statewide preemption, and Lincoln and Omaha have limited knife carry on municipal property despite 2023 state reforms.
