Custom Knives in Kansas — FAQ

What are the knife laws in Kansas?

Kansas repealed its bans on switchblades, daggers, and dirks in 2013 and added statewide preemption in 2015, so all knife types we sell are legal to own and carry for adults. Schools and government buildings remain restricted. This is general information, not legal advice.

Which Louis Martin knives are popular in Kansas?

Great Plains hunting shapes Kansas orders: skinning knives, hunting fixed blades, and Bowie knives lead, with Damascus chef knives a growing second for Kansas City area home cooks.

What knife laws apply in Kansas?

Kansas preempts local knife laws statewide, meaning no city or county can impose stricter rules than state law. Most knives are legal to carry in Kansas. Switchblades and ballistic knives remain restricted. This knife-friendly framework is great news for hunters and outdoorsmen.

What Louis Martin knives are most popular with Kansas hunters?

Kansas hunters favor our Damascus hunting knives for whitetail deer and our skinning knives for field dressing. Pheasant and turkey hunters often choose a compact folding knife or drop-point hunter for quick, light carry in the field.
